I am very new to the whole wine scene and I am cooking a meal for my in-laws and was wondering what kind of wine would go with parmesan chicken pasta? Again it might be silly but I am lost when it comes to wine. Thank you for all your help and I am looking forward to learning more.

Hello Silver,

Welcome to the wine board! There are no silly questions here.

I'm assuming that it will have a red sauce? I would buy a simple chianti. It will go perfectly with that dish. You really don't have to spend more than $10.00 on it. I would tend to stay away from the ones that are $4.99-$5.99. You can get a nice one for around $9.99.

I'm sure others will pipe in with other ideas as well.

Hi Silver, yours' was not a silly question, but disagree with WG here. Have seen some silly questions here and there. Look for some Vermentino from Sardinia (not hard to find, honastly). Should run well under $15. Serve chilled.
