Hello all you wine lovers out there! I am doing a project at my local university and i was wondering if you guys would answer some questions for me...
What is you favorite type of wine and why?

What makes a good wine?

When you find a wine you like, do you make sure your friends have tried it?

Do you hang out with people who drink wine so that you have something to talk about?

Are most of your friends big wine drinkers?

What is the major difference between red and white wines?

Do you think there is a connection between the old European wines, and how America has integrated wine with the best drinks?

If you guys could answer as many of these as possible, I would greatly appreciate it! Thank you very much!

Hi Lauren,
I think you can find answers to the last two by doing some research of your own, but here are responses to the other questions.

What is you favorite type of wine and why?
-Whatever goes with what I'm eating

What makes a good wine?
-No such thing really, but there are wines I like and wines I don't like. Complexity and balance are important. Personally I like a big variety, again whatever matches well with my dinner.

When you find a wine you like, do you make sure your friends have tried it?
-no

Do you hang out with people who drink wine so that you have something to talk about?
-no

Are most of your friends big wine drinkers?
-no

What is the major difference between red and white wines?
-The major difference is grape color and exposure to the grape skin, but it's a complex question. Check old threads on this board or try reading a basic wine book like "Wine for Dummies."

Do you think there is a connection between the old European wines, and how America has integrated wine with the best drinks?
-I'm going to leave that one for Foodie and the others, if they get the chance. They know more on the subject.

Best of luck,
-Joe
