Looking for a wine that is not real sweet do not like very sweet things are there any wines that are "semi sweet"? Very new to this Thanks

Hi Plbab, and welcome to the Wine Board. You haven't said what you wanted to eat with it. Also knowing where you live would help us recommend local wine shops or wineries. So, just taking a shot in the dark, try a German Riesling Spatlese. Have breaded veal cutlet with it.

Thank you for replying i am in Illinois near the quad cities. As for food looking for a wine to have with cheese or at night by its self.

You are in an excellent area. Believe it or not there are some excellent wineries in central and southern IL. One characteric of most Heartland wineries is that they tend to produce both dry and off dry wines, both red and white. The off dry reds are not commonly produced in other areas. Look up Illinois Wines on a search engine. Their association has a nice map of the region with contact information for the wineries. Try to find one that produces both dry and semi-sweet wines. Being able to taste both in one place will be educational for you.
