I have a few bottles of Celebrity Cellers gold etched bottles. I cannot locate the company can you help? Had for 4 years stored flat in cool, dark area. Can you tell me what they are worth and should I sell them, hold or drink. Thanks

Hi reckless and welcome to the board. Have never heard of Celebrity cellars but my educated guess is that it's a bottle put out by a negoitiant. Really doubt if they have any value other than curiosity. If you'll post all of the info from the back of the label( produced and bottled by ) I can probably give you more info. WW

Reckless, they are collectable bottles only, not for the content, similar to Marilyn Merlot. Most bottles sell on release from $30 to $60. You may want to try the auction sites to get a better idea of value on the secondary market.

I've seen some of the Celebrity Cellars collectibles on www.winebid.com. As mentioned, they release at about $30 to $60, but the bids I've seen run $20 to $40, so they don't seem to be doing too well as investment vehicles. They're released as curiosities for the bottles only, the contents are junk, so it doesn't really matter how they've been stored for the wine. Also, they release most of them in runs of up to 5000 cases, so that's 60,000 bottles and that doesn't make them much of a rarity except to avid collectors of such items. They've released about 40 or so different bottles and you don't say which particular ones you have. It would be hard for us to give any sort of guess at their worth if we don't know which you have.
