I recently went on journey through wine country. Unfortunately it was a hot day and I left several bottles of wine in the car. Will the heat from the car ruin the wines?

Hi, SG, and welcome to the board. It depends on how hot it got in your car, how long the wines were in there, etc. It's possible that they were cooked, and therefore ruined. I would treat them as suspect, have a backup handy when serving, and finish them off as soon as possible. I wouldn't bother to cellar.

Temps can reach 140 degrees in a car very quickly on a sunny day. The wines will lose subtle nuances and are not fit for storage as Hotwine states, so drink up.....
