I have a bottle of wine bought for me in 1980 and I was wondering if it's still good. In other words, I know wine can become more fine with age, but is 27 years too much??? The wine is:

Banyula Grand Cru
Mas De La Serra
1980

If you post a reply, please also email justingma@aol.com if you don't mind! Thanks!

Hi Just and welcome to the board. It extremely doubtful your bottle has survived 27 long ones. IF you have good storage it mite still be drinkable. Thwere's only one way to find out and as said many times " Pop the cork on that hummer". WW

Few wines would survive but a banyuls just might. Be aware that it's a sweet wine, don't open it with spaghetti or steak - try chocolate or after dinner.
