A friend's mother passed away recently and she's had to deal with the task of sorting through her effects for disposal. She came across a cache of wines in the cellar she said were tucked away in a dark, cold corner all stored on their sides. She gave me the list and asked if any were of any value or even drinkable. Nothing looked promising to me, but I told her I'd check with the experts (that's you guys). Her list is below - and don't laugh too loud when you read it.

1969 Gemva Soave
1969 Gemva Bardolino
1964 Ruffino Riserva Ducale
1960 Gancia Chiani Classico
1977 Tenuta S. Anna Riserva Cabernet
1970 Buitono Chianti Classico Riserva
1950 Salvo Nebbiolo
1980 Biscardo Soave - 4 magnums
1962 Duca Nebbiolo
1980 Bolla Valpolicella
1983 Lancers White
Taylor NY State Champagne (1980 written on label)

Well, that's her list in toto. BTW, don't even bother to answer on the Bolla or Lancers. I just put it in because they're on the list. In fact, I didn't even bother to put in such things as the Italian Swiss Colony Claret, among a few others.

None have $ value. You can write off the Soaves and Bardolino, these probably died when Jerry Ford was still in office.
The Nebbiolos may have made it though. Only one way to find out.
