You have to be more specific...what's your assignment? We then can point you in the right direction so you can research your project.

ok Drew
here are my questions:
1.Trace the use of the two varieties (you have chosen) through out the world.
2. Explain how they lend their organoleptic charcateristics to the wine styles they are known to produce in Australia
3.Submit labels from the varieties from 3 wineries of differnt wine producing areas. Explain the area regional characteristics and role that the regions climate plays in shaping those characteristics
4. Select some common menu items that you would choose to eat with the wines from the labels you have submitted and expkain your reasons for choosing.

there you go....and that's not that easy!!

Think you can get most if not all of your answers at this site: http://www.stratsplace.com/

IK, that is a good answer! From my point of view, he can probably get the answers to all of his questions at Strat's Place. Their databases are tremendous.

As for wine lables....... Unless you actually purchase the wines and remove the labels from the bottles, you can download JPEG files any of a number of websites that either sell the wines (such as www.wine.com) or have collections of lables posted for user enjoyment and education (such as Strat's Place).

You can also get a lot of information by going to your local book store. You should be able to browse through a good number of very informative tomes.

Loco, you can research your food and wine pairings at:

http://www.winespectator.com/Wine/Spectator/FW/fw.html

Also varietal characteristics can be researched at:

http://www.winespectator.com/Wine/Spectator/Faqs/VarietalsFAQ.html

Strats Place is a great spot for most of your questions including a large wine label bank.
