Dom Perignon

Can anybody tell me how long a bottle of Dom can be stored and still be good? In other words, what is the window of opportunity to drink this wine and still enjoy it? Subject wine is a 1993 vintage Dom Perignon stored in cool place

Howdy, Bucket, and welcome to the board. All cool places are not created equal. If it's been stored in a 55-degree cellar with about 70% humidity, it might stay there quite safely for another decade. But if the "cool place" is a dark closet in your house, suggest you find something to celebrate sooner rather than later, and the sooner the better.

I agree, it has been my experience to not have DOM in a very warm environment for long. Tell me what do you think of Vendange wine?

Vendange is the entry level line from Sebastiani. It competes well in the under $10 price range. Individually none of their wines blow me away, while other individual wines in the categorgy have.

Pepperwood Grove is their second tier of wines, and we particularly like their Pinot Noir, and Syrah.

As far as the Dom goes, I'd drink it sooner than later if you enjoy the bubbles in Champagne. I've had tastings of a couple '93 vintages recently, and they were heading toward still. Flavorful, biscuity and yeasty, with dried pear, but not too effervescent.
