I am very new to wines! Please excuse any ignorance! I am having some women over in a few weeks and would like to have some wine for them. Can you recommend some kind of wine that is soothing to a lot of people? I, personally, like sweet wines and nothing too tart. Thanks.

Hi Laura, and welcome to the Wine Board. Not knowing where you are means we have no idea what your availablilty may be. Try a German Riesling such as one from the M-S-R. It, and any other white wines you may end up with should be served chilled.
