I was given a bottle of 1999 Ossidiana the other day and I can't find too much out about this wine. There no real 'label' but there is writing on the back which just says Sonoma County Red Table Wine. From what I can find around the net I think it might be Cab. Franc and Cab. Sav. but I'm not too sure; I figure it's a bordeaux blend. Any information on this wine would be great.

Thanks.

Ossidiana is made by Viansa Winery, located in Sonoma and owned by Sam Sebastiani and family. You're right in that it's mostly Cab Franc. It retails for $125, unless you're a member of their Tuscan Club and then it's about $95. According to the winery, Ossidiana is drinkable now or can sit down for about 15 years under good storage conditions. Check them out at www.viansa.com
