What kind of table wine is Chateau-Margaux 1969? It says Premier Grand Cru Classe.

That's not a table wine at all, Paula. That's one of the top five Bordeaux in the world! If it has been properly stored, and carefully re-corked about 10 years ago, and lovingly cared for all of these years, it could be a magnificent accompaniment to the most lavish steak dinner you can muster. If those things aren't true, you could simply have an interesting mantle-piece.

It is a table wine worth between $250.00 and $300.00 which is not much more than current vintages are selling for. Single bottles of this particular vintage are hard to sell, as are most other single bottles. Therefore let the value be an extra enjoyment of the dinner that Hotwine recommended.

Hey Guys, This seems to be the same Paula who asked about 69 Romanee-Conti. Jim or Bucko, do we have another put-on here? Winoweenie

Maybe legit, who knows.

1969 was a horrendous vintage in Bordeaux. The wines are long since dead and have no value to any serious wine collector/drinker. I personally would not pay a dime -- no offense meant, just the fact that the wine is dead, so why bother?
