I am just getting into wine. I love it but don't know much about it. I would like to get involved with a club that sends out bottles monthly, but don't want to spend high dollars. Do you have any suggestions?

Welcome to the Wine Board Karyloo. Wine Clubs are only one source of regular wine offers/deliveries. Although there are excellent clubs of all sorts out there, don't participate with any at this time. Maybe others will help.

Other resources include online organizations such as www.wine.com will send you, at your price point, regular offers (at your interval) via e-mail. There are also retailers such as www.popswine.com who you can bookmark and regularly go to there special deals page or the part of their inventory you most enjoy. There are also wine brokers. These folks can set up a regular time to call with offers, as well as your preferences, price points, etc. We deal with Grove Street Brokers, and our broker is Craig who you can contact at: 800-584-4563 or craigwineman@nidlink.com .

One of the best "clubs" I know is the American Wine Society. The group meets monthly for educational, and fun, tastings. You learn and then you go out to buy what YOU like.

The national office is in Rochester, NY, but there are chapters all over the country.
