I just heard that Wineweenie and Hotwine have had a few problems opening the board.

If anyone knows -- please let me know if this is still going on.

I'm not experiencing any problems. I came in through the link on the home page of wines.com, that is, wines.com.

Heck I have to hit preferences every time I sign on to get anything to light up. It's been like this for months. Just get used to it!

I will see what is causing this and try a couple of different things. You can help me by letting me know if anything changes -- for the better, I hope.

I guess I should have been more clear. I do get light bulbs on the outside of the folders without hitting preferences, but the folders themselves don't turn red unless I do. This is still the case as of this posting.

OK. Thanks. This is helping me pinpoint a couple of things to change.

Innkeeper, I am confused though about "the folders themselves don't turn red unless I do [hit preferences]... I don't get what is supposed to turn red. Not the little yellow folder symbol -- not the name of the folder -- what am I not getting?

Thank you,
Jackie

The folder envelope is yellow and turns red when it is new or updated. When I come onto the Board all the folder envelopes stay yellow until I go to "preferences" and click on "submit preferences." Then the new or updated folder envelopes turn red.

I've made a change that I am hoping will solve WW's issue -- without creating issues for others. This is a test.

WW- if you are still having this issue, please tell me what you are clicking on. That is, when you post a reply, the program automatically returns you to the forum that you were replying to. But there are no folders there (inside the topic). So what are you clicking on next that causes all the folders to turn yellow. That click is where the problem seems to occur. Can you tell me what you are clicking on or what you are doing at that point??

Are you clicking on the Words "The WineBoard" in large purple type or on the small links at the top right?

If you are clicking on the small type, are you going back to the top page of the board? That is, to the small link that says "Wines.com WineBoard"?

I am trying to pinpoint this persistent bugger of a problem. I'm not having any problem with this so it is hard to re-crate it...

ONE MORE QUESTION -- what are you using for your browser. It may be that the browser setting is causing cookie problems.

Thanks WW,
Jackie
