In Italy I bought a few bottles of Barolo wine 1962 (the winemakers Bertolino & Figlio). What are they worth and how do they taste?

Barolo's are some pretty potent wines, as are Brunello di Monticino's, also quite dry and high in alcohol. They are wines that I've found you've really got to acquire a taste for, and in my opinion should never be served without food. As far as value, as other members have commented in the past on other wines, it is difficult to re-sell individual bottles of wine. Most importantly, the storage conditions need to have been ideal for a wine close to forty years old for it to still be good. If it has been stored properly and is still good, It would probably retail anywhere from $75 to $125 a bottle. Hope this helps.
