Dee the RETAIL pricing on this is between 250 and 300 per bottle. What kind of storage did your brother have? Very important in evaluating pricing. WW

I've seen retail prices at $125 to $215 for half bottles, and $220 to $435 for full size bottles. Those are full retail prices (and the top prices are totally outrageous and unrealistic), but you will never get those prices if you tried to sell them yourself. You might get about $50 for a half bottle or about $85 for a full size bottle. Of course, that's only if you can prove these wines were kept in impeccable storage. Otherwise, cut the prices in half.

You got it, WW. I know what we pay our distributors for the wine that comes into our shop and I know the retail prices. Depending on the wine, distributor, market conditiond, etc., there can be a huge variance (can you say great margins!).

the 1990 D'Yquem is going for about $230 in retail stores here in CT. I also know that the currant wholesale price for 1995 is about $208 in CT.

I have to move and am cleaning out the closet in the second bedroom. I found a box of 5 bottles of 1975 Chateau d'Yquem. They've been there for almost 20 years. No special arrangement was made for their storage, but the temperature is cool and doesn't vary much. If they are worth anything, how do I unload them? I live in Berkeley.

Hi Peaslee and welcome to the board. An absolutely great vintage but questionable storage. pristine bottles are RETAILING for 550-650. Kinda hard to hurt those delicious stickies. Would put them up for bidding on winebid.com. Good luck. WW

Cute. These bottles were bought by my ex-wife who left in 1985. I didn't know that they were still with me until I started moving out of my current residence. I don't care for the wine myself.
