A Christmas gift from daughter & son-in-law, one of four wine books from them; in paperback from Broadway Books. A fascinating story of French wine-makers, grape-growers and negociants in the period 1938-46 and their heroic efforts to preserve their industry and culture during the war. The authors live in northern France and interviewed many of the players they discuss; both are writers and Don is a former TV news correspondent. Superbly written and highly recommended.
