How about a folder dedicated to Cognac & Brandy?
Germain Robin Napa valley brandies will blow your mind - even the stodgiest old fart will be amazed at the quality of the brandies.. I recently tasted their "PERFECTION" .. I can honestly say that it put Louis XIII to shame! all this for $186 wholesale versus $1350. unfortunately, only 48 cases were produced - so a bit of resourcefulness is required to attain this magnificent gem. My allocation???? 1 750ml bottle. The last occasion (excuse) used to have a little sniff??? last Wed. after the stones concert.....great show - GREAT WINE.

Good idea, Rick...I'll suggest it to Jackie. Re Germain-Robin...I helped them conceive the name and was the first writer to review their very first efforts, even before anything was released. Was up in Mendocino visiting John Parducci, who introduced me to Ainsley Cole and his sheep ranch distillery. I can't remember what they were going to name it originally, but it was some God-awful French name that no one would have been able to pronounce.

Are you aware that they will (at least they used to would) custom distill to your specs (from your own wine if you have it), allow you to select your own barrel(s), age as long as you wish,) and then custom bottle for you under your own label? What a great deal for a restaurant...bottle its own Germain-Robin produced brandy...have new lots coming along from time to time...probably couldn't hurt your relationship with G-R either, which might help with your allocation of their stuff.

I just purchased a bottle of Germain Special barrel XO and can't wait to try it! ! I bought it as a result of the raving reviews and like to help the underdog from time to time.
