I really believe Anne is the only person on Earth who can catch a winter cold when the temps in Atlanta have hovered at around 70 for the past 10 days. So, with her under the weather and asking for a "cold weather" wine, but her also not having the sensory faculties to appreciate something a bit better, I popped this $8 Malbec.

Purple in the glass, with an oaky nose. Some juicy blueberry jam flavors wrapped up in that aforementioned oak. Just OK. Nothing fancy, but she seems to be feeling better today. Alc. 12.5%.

A nice wine--I've had it.

Incidentally, that thing we call a cold, contrary to what any of us have been led to believe, has absolutely nothing to do with the weather.

I know, but still -- when it's 70 and feels like spring, she gets sick. Nice way to enjoy the "winter" weather!

Hi D....I've really gotten into the Malbecs in the last 4-5 months. The Terrazas has become my daily drinker. WW

I liked the 00 and 01 Terrazas, but for some inexplicable reason have not bought any since. Think I'll get a few of the new one and give it a crack. Thanks for the reminder

Now that I think about it, I haven't bought any Catena for awhile, either . . .
