This red table blend from Paso includes Syrah, Sangiovese, and Barbera. It offers a dark ruby color and aromas and flavors that remind me of a youthful Beaujolais. Not great, but would probably fit the bill for a picnic wine or slightly chilled as a "backyard wine" for the summer months. Nothing serious about it (and no seriousness intended), and minimal structure, so just drink up. 13.6% alc. We paid $15 at Whole Foods after a discount.

It's only $11.50 from the winery, but then again there's S&H!
