We recently tried some neat Bonardas at Wine South, so when we saw this on a local shelf, we thought we'd give it a try. Jammy dark fruits and some funkiness (in a good way), with some black pepper on the finish. I liked it more than Anne, who when pressed for comment said, "It's whatever." I'm guessing that means she thought it nondescript. I'd probably buy it again at $10. Alc. 13.5%.

Roberto firmly states that Bonarda makes a great Old World wine, and that is most probably so, but have never had one. Those from SA have not impressed.
