Not a traditional Bordeaux blend as it contains Syrah. The blend is 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Syrah, 10% Cabernet Franc,
7% Merlot and 3% Petit Verdot. $29.99
Weighs in at 14.5% alcohol according to the label. Very dark opaque purple. Blackberries on the nose and palate. Viscous. Perfumed with American oak and dark fruits including blackberries and cassis. Thick, somewhat syrupy--not overly tannic. Label of a cowboy looking downward shaded by his hat which he is tipping or setting on his head or holding. I liked this at a tasting and it paired well with steak broiled medium (pink in the center) but I don't think I will purchase it again.

WoW,

The label was once created to pull in a few more female buyers (per the owner and with the winemaker being also female, who also makes the wine for Scarecrow), but as you can guess, it started becoming popular with the guys as well especially when it was first introduce around the same time as brokeback mountain.
