This is a quite pleasant wine, though there isn't as much character as more vibrant varieties like Syrah. Fairly high acid with mellowed tannins. The nose is floral, but I can't really identify the component - maybe rose. Not highly oaked, but there's a nice vanilla flavor, with maybe a hint of anise. The grape is Carignan, and it's probably been overcropped which would account for the lightness. Alcohol is 13.5% and retail was %11.99. I'd probably try this again, but there are so many wines - and so little time.
