Hello all

I friend of mine picked up a bottle of something called "St. Croix" from Priam Vineyards in Connecticut (which is the first I've ever heard of CT wine).

What is St. Croix? Has anyone ever had it? The bottle appeared to be non-vintage. Apparently my friend paid $25 for this bottle too..

Any background info/tasting notes on CT wine, Priam, or St. Croix appreciated.

Always something new to learn....

Here you go on Priam - www.ctwine.com/priam.html. Connecticut has quite a few wineries, though not many make much wine that would interest many here on this board. Most of the wines from CT wineries are based on French/American hybrids and they're just not up to the same standard of wines from elsewhere in traditional vinifera grape growing regions. That said, Chamard Winery in Clinton, CT is making some really nice wines from mostly estate grown vinifera grapes. Look for them.
