I was visiting one of my favorite wine shops her in CT and came across a 1993 Chateau d'Yquem. I was sure of the rating of the 1993 so I didn't get it at this time. I then stopped at the sister wine shop of the first one, and came across a 1990 Chateau d'Yquem. I do know that the 1990 received a 99 rating from Robert Parker. Yes I bought the 1990. It is a very nice addition to the collection.

Don't keep us in suspense. How much did it cost? It's not going to matter when you drink it in 25 years.

1993 was a poor vintage; the 1990 was great. what I have read on it is that it has the potential to age 30-40 years but can be done now. However, I think if you can wait it out another 10-15 years you'll certainly get your money's worth.
