After having to make calls all morning when i came home for lunch I needed a glass or 5, and not having a desire for my beloved reds I, (sob) opened a bottle of Anthony Road 2001 Finger Lakes Dry Riesling. Great citrusy aciditic nose that came over on the palate. Was the onl;y SW I bought besides the 99 Glenora bubbly. Must admit, this is a lovely drink and calmed my nerves, frazzeled as they were. Now I'm glad CB didn't like this as much as her normal chards. The other 10 bottles will not see Autumn. MM (upside-down ww)

We had great weather for an outdoor wine dinner (Provencal wines and food) at Saint Jacques Restaurant in Raleigh last night. Will report on it later in the week.
