$19, purchased January 05. 100% chenin blanc, my first experience with Montlouis. Located right near Vouvray, it reminded me more of Savennières than Vouvray though, because of the lower acidity (in this case, none at all). It has that great yoghurt-like minerality that I love. Definitely a crowd pleaser. In particular, very well received by an Australian guest from the middle of Australian wine country (or maybe I'm trying to read too much into his reaction - I have not had Australian chenin blanc). Anyway, with a little acidity it would be a personal favorite, but as it is I will keep a few bottles for larger tables with disparate wine tastes.

I haven't had any Montlouis either so interested in your notes. For that matter, it's a long time since I've had Vouvray--may need to acquire some soon.
