I'm trying 2 new wines. Portal, out of the Terra Alta region of Spain and Zolo Malbec from the region of Mendoza, Argentina.

Harpoon Winter Warmer?

To be honest with you, I would be happy if they both lost, if that were possible. But at the moment, it seems you might just get your wish.

cheers,

We had a 2000 Viansa Sempre Avanti and part of a 2002 Novy Napa Vly Syrah.

I opened a 2001 Obernon Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon and a 2002 Selby Sonoma Cabernet Sauvignon to compare Napa grapes to Sonoma grapes for another forum (will post here later). In truth, I can't really distinguish between Napa and Sonoma C.S. unless the Rutherford Dust in the Napa wine is really obvious. I might do better in distinguishing Russian River Valley Pinot Noir from Carneros P.N.
