all you ex-madisonites-- the farmer's market opened today.
got me ramps, watercress, spring garlic, fresh pasta from RP, really young asparagus, gladiola bulbs, portabellos, oyster mushrooms, spinach, carola taters, homemade pickles, and bibb lettuce...

i'm so glad it's this time of year!
beautiful weather, too...
next week we're heading up to devil's lake with our tandem kayak and dog.
Wisconsin is a wonderful state!

We will be in Madison June 30 and July 1. Maybe we can meet! I'll remind you later about it. I love that city. It's my wife's home town.

My sister attended summer school at University of Wisconsin one year. She had art classes in the morning that didn't require homework and then spent her afternoons swimming or water skiing on the lakes. She missed the Sheboygan Bratwurst Fest because she was nominated for Summer Prom Queen and felt obligated to attend the prom. Nice summer! I visited Madison one fall weekend for a football game (I was living in Michigan at the time). It is a pretty city and I would like to revisit someday (not in the winter, however.)
