April 14...Titanic sank
April 14...Abraham Lincoln was shot
April 14...I was born.

Since I am a teetotaler now, I'll expect y'all to raise a glass to me today. (Like you need an excuse)

I opened an Italian rosso (table red wine) last night from Morazzano, but it's not that tasty, so I may pour it our and open a Zinfandel that is next in line.

Thank you one and all! Best wishes, Dan. All the best people were born in April I always say! When I arrived home from school I was greeted with a MAGNIFICENT bouquet of yellow roses from my beloved (and he's not even a Texan, HW!)and then we were joined by sister dear and her hubby for a nice steak dinner out. The only thing missing was some good wine, but I'm glad y'all enjoyed in my honor!

My birthday is Friday, and while I'm not a "top-tier" denizen here like Dan and Georgie, you all seem like you could use another reason to pull out the corkscrew!

Thanks Dan. Two weeks ago my one-year-only teaching contract became permanent as well.
It's been a GOOD month!!!

To quote Roland Kirk:
"Bright moments to all you beautiful people, everywhere!"
