It seems high time to let you all know that I'm in the middle of a move from Atlanta up to our Missouri farm on a full-time basis. I've taken a job as Head of School for a private school in Columbia, so I'll be up here for good Oct. 1. Until then, I'll be splitting my time between here and there. Unfortunately, Anne has to remain in Atlanta for the time being to do the necessary things to put the house on the market. Hopefully, she'll be ready to follow me up here sometime this winter. So, save for a few weekends a month, I'll be flying solo, and that goes for drinking, so posts are just my thoughts unless specified otherwise. That having been said, posts will probably continue to be scarce until life settles down a bit, but I'm always on here lurking

Stephens? I granulated from Mizzou so spent a lot of time in Columbia. Great little college town IMHO. Lots of lovely critters were there during the late 40s'. WW

Congratulations on the new job Dan and good luck with selling the house in Georgia. Good friends of mine have been in a similar situation for several years. He has been working in his home state of Arkansas while his wife is in Florida and their son goes to college in Florida. The son graduates this year. Getting the house ready to sell is complicated by the fact that there is still some damage from two hurricanes (couldn't get a contractor to do repairs at the time because it was a small job compared to other homes and so the husband did temporary repairs himself but it needs more done to be marketable and the Florida housing market is in the dumps.) They have had limited time together either in Arkansas or Florida for several years now and look forward to being reunited in Arkansas maybe this year.

Congrats. Although Atlanta is a great city, we much prefer the rural to the urban.

Thanks for the well wishes. VH, keep us posted on your situation. It would be great to have someone with which to share some good wines around Columbia. No, WW -- not Stephens College. It's Columbia Montessori School. One interesting wine-related tidbit is that one of the parents is the winemaker at Les Bourgeois, a local winery.

Again, thanks all.

Dan, if we end up in Columbia, put my new daughter on the list at Montessori when she's older!
