I'm doing great this year, so far - Judy a bit less so. I went off shopping bright and early this morning to one of our local department stores, and Judy was still in bed with a hot pack over her eyes. Did my shopping and got a call from Winoweenie just as I was leaving the store. Salivated over his description of melting his Ghirardelli chocolate to dip the fresh strawberries in. Came home and made a really nice frittata w/ eggs (duh), cubanelle peppers, Vidalia onions, Santa sweet cherry tomatoes, cave aged Gruyere, fresh basil and fresh crushed garlic. Paired that with a Glenora Brut, one we disgorged ourselves last May.

Happy New Year to all from Bev and I. Popped out of bed at 9:30 this morning just in time to get a call from WW! After breakfast of a special hot cereal from my brother and sons, got the stuffing made for tonight. We are going to have our Slow Roasted Duckling in Orange Sauce with wild rice stuffing: http://www.wines.com/ubb2/Forum2/HTML/000269.html

Roasted the duck yesterday. Plan to match it with Dr Konstantin Frank's Cabernet Franc.
