Thought it would be a Pats romp, but Eli had different plans.

Hard to throw the ball off your rear end. What a defensive line! WW

The ESPN commentators this morning were giving credit to the defensive line and the defensive coach of the Giants (who it looks like will be the next head coach of the Redskins.) Go Washington!

Exciting game although low scoring!

You are absolutely right when you say they had heart.

There is something to be said for being told that you can't do it, that you are the underdog and have nothing to lose. It's kind of like going into a job interview not needing the job. Confidence.

On the flip side there is something to be said for going into the game cocky. You would have thought they would have taken them a little more seriously after game 17.

CONGRATS GIANTS AND NY!!!

I want to know how Eli can be the MVP of the game? It was the defense that really won the game for the Giants. Yeah, I know he led the winning drive with only a few minutes on the clock and America loves the offensive players. Eli played reasonably too. I still have to give the credit to the "D".

I read of the 42 Super Bowl MVPs, only eight defensive players (two of them co-MVPs) have won the recognition. Only once has a special teams player (kick returner Desmond Howard) won the honor.

We were saying the same thing. It would have been nice to have been able to award the entire defensive front line and the beating they put on the Patriots. The Giants could have won by a much wider margin if they did not give up the ball so many times in the first half deep into the patriot's zone.

You can just imagine the mood around these parts. Lots of celebrating going on! Some of my teacher friends are taking personal days to go to the parade tomorrow! The kids are all worked up over it too. A whole lotta fun! As for myself, I'm just waiting for opening day....

Glad to have had a Manning win the SB again this year, just had the wrong one. It was good to see Peyton there cheering for his little brother.

Coach Bellycheck should have returned to the sideline for the last 1 second...since the league insisted they line up and snap it. WP

He must have learned about leaving the field early from Moss. He did the same thing when he wore purple.

Agree with Weenier on the Giant Defensive Line. They were MVP(s). Eight teams previously scored 17 or more points against the Pats, but none held them to 14!
