Tough loss for Texas against Colorado. That really throws thing up in the air for the Rose Bowl. Nebraska? Tennessee? Oregon?

That was one of the two best games I've seen all year, with the other being Colorado vs Nebraska. Personally, I was delighted at t.u.'s loss last night; as a die-hard Aggie, I love to see 'em git whupped. Colorado has shown a lot of class against both Nebraska and t.u., so whoever they play in a bowl will have their hands full.

Eric Crouch for Heisman! The defense (Nebraska's blackshirts) let us down against Colorado but that's not the quarterback's fault. I would like to see several Big Twelve teams do well in bowl games. Colorado was certainly impressive.
Eric Crouch was named Chevrolet Offensive Player of the Year and Julius Peppers of the University of North Carolina (also plays basketball at UNC) was name Defensive Player of the Year.

Crouch shouldn't be heisman. The guy has nearly as many interceptions as he has touchdowns. Carr from Fresno State deserves it more than Crouch. I'm cheering for Joey Harrington since I'm a Duck fan, but he isn't going to get it nor does he truely deserve it. Heck, the linebacker from UNC should get it, but the heisman is basically becoming a QB award instead of the best college player.

Yes, but...
Eric Crouch is one of only 14 players to
rush and pass for 1000 yards in the same season--1115 yards rushing, 1510 yards passing. He is one of only 3 quarterbacks in NCAA history to rush for 3000 yards and pass for 4000 yards in his career. And Nebraska has only lost something like 4 or 5 games with Crouch as quarterback. Harrington is likable--I saw him interviewed and was impressed with his personality.

I was sorely disappointed in Gannon. He let Tweety Bird beat him!

At least the REDSKINS LOST and the RAVENS WON. Those parts of the day were good to me!
