Carl, I spent four years in the Army, most of it at 1st Armored Division Headquarters in Ansbach, Germany during the height of the cold war. My father fought in Korea and I lost two uncles and several cousins in Nam (which caused my grandmother to take a bus to DC and spend a week screaming at LBJ from the front of the White House).

So, if you think I am a pinko peace-nic with no time in grade you are wrong.

BUT, cheers to all of you Vets or not...

Knew you were in the Armed Forces Big Guy. Just want to give you special attention after the trip to the woodshed.

Thank you, Carl. Like Generals Eisenhauer, Grant and Powell, I came by my aversion to war be seeing just how much whoop-ass we COULD unleash if we wanted to and decided it would be a good idea to see how NOT to.

I wasn't sure if you saw your ticket to the woodshed, no back talk ensued, you must have learned your lesson?

I am going to open a nice cold bottle of sparkling bonarda tonight with some BBQ...
