On my birthday I turned 40timesduecie so I'm not quite the youngest here. And am sure many on the board have education levels far suprpassing mine, but as my oldest grand-daugter wil emphatically tell youse..."Aint' nobodies prettier than my Gramps"..(giggle,snort,hehe).WW

Hotwine,

I reasoned that the stuff would coat our stomachs; instead, it emptied them all over the roof of our car, a location which we never figured out how we got to from the seats at the concert which we never saw...one incredible experience.

That's kind of the image I had in mind.... a sort of shotgun spray of potato salad. Whew! That car would have been ready for the crusher!

Is that 80? Verne, you are my mom's age exactly! Congrats on making it this far and still doing what you are doing! My mom hates computers and never drinks. I'm very impressed.

Most of the other wine related BB's that I visit, I only visit to read the post and don't dare to post anything. Two of those are very "famous" BB's related to very "famous" wine publications... What I don't like is that the posters are so nasty some times and so snobbish, that really turns me down trying to ask a question or express my opinion. What I like is the amount of knowledge that some of those folks have.

What I like of this BB and keep me coming back is that is newbie/amateur friendly and the knowledge of the moderators allows you to learn a lot.

By the way, I'm 47 and have been into wine for around 7 years, but still feel a little like a wine newbie.

Hey, I've been in to wine for 25 years and still feel like a newbie. You can never learn it all.
