Yes, I survived. It was more fun dressing up with my student teacher. She wore a cute witch outfit and I wore an old haggy green-faced witch outfit. She wore a sign that said "BEFORE (thirty years of teaching)" and I wore one that said "AFTER (thirty years of teaching.") We were a hit. I must say the kids were really well-behaved and it was a painless Halloween. Yesterday we went to NY to see "Dracula, the Musical." It was an interesting show. Lots of great special effects although the music was not memorable. Good fun for Halloween. By the way, we ended up eating brunch at a place called Joe Allens. We loved our meals. Nobody else was interested in wine, so I abstained. I just gotta get different friends and relatives.
