The wind storm last night? Anyone else with damage?

There are a wack of tree branches (precise technical term) down in my backyard...some of the branches are so big, they've planted themselves into the lawn.... They look like upside down trees themselves... Looks like a working day....

We were without electric power all dya yesterday and into this morning. Nasty winds killed a woman in Rochester when a tree fell right down on her car.

We lost trees, but the powa held despite flickering a few times. The radio part of my new Boise hasn't worked since the biggest flicker. Anyone know the fix on that? The speakers work with CDs.

The cover, which was achored very securely, on my tractor blew off. Had to go out in the snow, yes snow, this morning and replace it. Sigh!

IK, try unplugging the radio and then replugging it. We did that with a convection oven and it worked. Don't know if the Bose does, but some electronics have an internal shut off when power fails, especially ones produced by Italians...

Works with computers too, which breakdown whether or not the power fails...

Also works with cable modems, wireless hubs and other such gadgets that have microprocessors; have found that all need to be rebooted now and then (size 12 or larger is recommended!).

IK, is that your way of saying "widow friend" or has your friend suddenly expanded in the mid-section (thus "wider")?

Posters can also delete their own, WW. Second thoughts kicking in, that sort of thing.
