Good motto to live by ... especially for us dieters...

"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand - strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming, "WOO HOO - What a Ride!"

I saw that, too, Georgie. We'll forgive you for cleaning it up a bit.

I didn't edit it. That's the version I received. It made me feel a bit less guilty about my indulgence at a fabulous wedding last night!

Makes sense to me everytime I think I should curtail my butter intake--but I like butter as much as I like olive oil. Come to think of it, I like almost all foods and wines--body be damned.

If you're wanting something, then so be it. It's not called cheating, it's treating! And everyone deserves it!

(Tonite would be with an Anthony Road Reisling from dear ol' Dad.)

I got the same e-mail as Georgie (from my sister) and passed it on to several friends.

I like the old Redd Foxx quote:

"All these health nuts gonna feel pretty stupid someday, laying there in their beds, dying of nothing."

Hello Wine Friends, it has been a while. But I have been lurking when I get a chance.

I saw this thread about diets and couldn't resist telling my good news. I have been struggling with my colestrol for about 8 years. My total colesterol has been as high as 500, even eating turkey sandwiches for a year at lunch did not help.

I had my yearly physical this week and total colestrol was 199! It had never been close to 200.

Earlier this year we tried the Atkins but didn't last long. But my new hobby is cooking. I use a lot of EVOO, garlic and fresh herbs in my cooking. I have also been making fruit smoothies in the morning for breakfast with soy protien. I still eat junk food in moderation. But I believe the cooking, fruit smoothies and of course, Wine has made the differance.

Great tand, that is a drop. Hey, stop the junk food completely and your count will be minus 200...

Stevebody, that is a funny quote.
