2000 Le Merlot du Donjon Merlot

You could have never tempted me to purchase such a wine with this name but two of my fav wine shops recommended this and they were right on. Dark ruby/purple, almost opaque. nose of dark fruit,plum with chocolate. Flavors of dark currant,plum,dark chocolate, licorice and tar with a smidge of good 'ol French Terroir. Finishes long with ample tannins. This is a very good, somewhat complex merlot for little money. $10. 14%Alc/vol. It was even better the second day!
