Purchased on one of many trips to Kermit Lynch's house.

Garnet in color and clear bright. Slightly muted nose but a bit floral and a hint of game, in mouth, black berries, black cherries, oak, nicey balanced, not very complex but very nicely done. Medium body, with a hint of hotness at the end. Very nice for price of $10! I would buy a case if I lived closer.

WOW, you are right. His shop is in Berkeley CA. That is his only shop and then he distributes as well. Since I make so many trips to SF, I try to stop there as much as possible for his unique selection and fair prices. Also there are two great shops beside his store, Cafe Fanny and the ACME bakery, both great food places. Bucko might remember them.

Second day with this bottle and it is going great!

What a great bottle for the price. Little change but seems to be a bit more closed than the last one...just a hint though. After a couple of corked wines, this was just the thing to do! Should've been a case buy.

Better than the last bottle and same notes as the first, pretty wine for the price! Unfortunately last bottle and will now have to start on the '05's

Agree wholeheartedly on Lynchs' store. However unless there's been some great change in the last 10 years you can't go eating in Berkely without going to Alice Waters' Chez Panisse. This, IMHO, ground-breaking, trend-setting lady has defined great food since around the early 70s' when she opened this lovely spot. Over the years when I was picking up juice 6-8 times a year we became friends and I never has a bad crumb in her jernt. It's at the top of the hill just below UC Berkely. Next time you're heading out post and I'll give you the exact address. WW
