From the fall mailer.
Decanted for 1.5 hours. Quite nice wine. Smoky and rich with blackberry and chocolate. Nose is quite expressive in a French way. Some berry fruit, but mostly smokey earthy notes, but not at all gamey. Very good wine with rich fare. Good now, would not be hurt by several more years in the cellar.
Oh, let's say 89/90.
