Vin de Pays du Gard. This is old vine Nimes Syrah and if you can find some buy a bunch. It's deeply colored and very lush with rich spicy blackberry flavors and hints of dark chocolate and loamy soil. It was offered at one of my wine shops via it's local internet customers on a first come, first serve basis with limited quantities. I responded via email for a 6 pack and picked up my box yesterday and was offered a sample tasting. I should have bought 6 cases! If you love the deep, lush wines of Nimes and Cahors, which is no secret that I like that wine style, you'll love this wine. I paid $10.50 per for a 6 pack. 14%Alc/vol. Go to the following link to view the bottle.
