Very different from past vintages. Lite and very Pinot Noir like which is what I would have guessed in a blind tasting. International in style with pleasant dark cherry and blackberry flavors, medium bodied with soft tannins, very food friendly. 13%Alc/vol. $9.

Oh, no! First Bucko on Pinot Noirs that resemble Syrahs and now Drew on a Syrah that resembles Pinot Noir! We may end up with Pinot Syroirs!

Well said, WOW. That would lead to some questions about "Syroir Terroir"....

And then, after the DNA tests are completed, we may have a grape called Petite Pinot Syroir, which will taste a lot like Duriff, which tastes a lot like...

Thats odd Drew. Last night I was preparing a Cranberry Chutnie that called for 1 cup of dry red wine. So I pulled out a bottle of Pepperwood Grove Pinot Noir. After making the chutnie we watched a movie and I finished off most of the bottle. (I fell asleep about half way through the movie)

But I thought the Pinot Noir tasted a little more bold than what I was expecting. This morning I picked up the bottle to throw away, and noticed that I had pulled the PG 2001 Syrah by mistake.

My 30 bottle wine cooler is slowly filling up. I am not used to having to look that close to what I have on hand.
