A solid effort that's getting better monthly. Brite ruby with sparkling highlights. Took 45 minutes to open with some deep red and black fruits, a tad of leather, and earthy notes. All come across on the palate plus a touch of spicy, sweet cinnamon and a hint of barnyard. Needs at least another 2-4 to flesh out. Should be a killer. WW 90/91. 14.3% alc.

I'm guessing Dehlinger.

This was the 2nd bottle at lunch yesterday with the BRW couple. As with the pinot the nose seems to be the most dominate development. Lots of spicy berryiness along with some earthy, horsey notes. This is a classic Dehlinger Estate Syrah that needs at least another 4-6 to develop. No change in scoring. WW

Had another with lunch yesterday with some Dreamfields linguini and Parmesiano Reggiano covered in Maceos' Tomato Gravey. Lovely combo with the emphasis on spice. This bottle is progressing swimmingly. Still needs some time but getting there. No change in scoring. WW
