1999 Castelmaure Cuvee #3

From Corbieres one of the funkiest wines I've had in a long time. (After drinking all those international styled wines it was a shock to the palate). Dark ruby purple and a very restrained nose. Dark fruit heavely laden with bretty terroir (almost thought it was corked), leather, loam soil and gamey meat. My wine guy highly rec this but was a little over the top for me. 13.5% Alc/vol. $12.
