Coteaux du Languedoc
This cuvee is a blend of Syrah, Grenache, Carignan and Cinsault. Quite nice and a good QPR. Deep purple and opaque. Oily in the mouth with subtle garrigue-infused black fruit with hints of tobacco, truffle and unsweetened chocolate. At this young stage the wine is enveloped with very fine tannins which inhibit the full flavor profile but the finish is long starting mid palate and progressing to the back palate. Mostly new world but shows some old world DNA.
Recommended. 13.5% Alc/vol. $15
