Picked this one up out of a bargain bin a few days ago for about $10 (probably less at a discounter). But (for a change) worth twice the price! Lots of spicey fruit, difficult for this ol' hoss to identify, from an unusual blend of "old Nimes" 40% Cab. and 60% Syrah on an estate west of the Rhone River. Importer is Robert Kacher of Washington D.C. Excellent with sandwiches of barbecued brisket. Gottabuymore.

Sure 'nuff, this finally showed up at a discounter this week at $2 less per (now $7.99). Inky in the glass, almost black, with a nose of black currants and hint of pepper; velvety currants and touch of raspberries on the palate, with a very pleasant finish. 12.5% ABV. Hope a full case is still available.
