hello.
i've got a few bottles of wine from germany & hungary very old.
would like to get information on quality of these bottles and possible price for sale.
for example:
CARSTENS SC. (special cuvee) 1979.
deutscher sekt' sektkellerei carstens kg.

Anton Saffer Hungary. 1969
weinkeller saffer. verbunkos.

Stierblut 1969.
singen am rhein.

Nymphenburg sekt. munchen.

and the last one: from hungary.
Tokaji Aszu 1940.
flegmann s.v.es fia.

As old as your wines are, it's necessary for us to know if they were stored properly. Even if they have been, it's possible that they are long gone. The 1940 one however, whether still good or not, may have some value to it based on the political climate at that time in Europe. The fact that any wine survived the Nazi's without being drunk upon release is a suprise to me!

If you look around at some of the postings under "Novices" and other places on this board, there are many requests by individuals for wine values. You will also notice it mentioned that it is usually difficult to sell just one, or a handful of bottles successfully, since most major auction houses won't even consider less than a case, or a minimum of $5,000 worth of wine.

Perhaps someone else here can help you out as to whether the 69 and 79 vintages are still drinkable. Sorry I could not be of more help.
