I recently tried a 2001 marques de grinon viura/sauvignon blanc for 12 USD, and what a bargain it was.
Does anyone know where I can find some vinification notes, regional info on this wine?

Welcome to the board. Did a quick search with Google on Marques de Grinon and turned up several reds but no whites in the links that I scanned. But suggest you do the search yourself and perhaps take the time to drill down below the first few lines of each entry. The reds are getting good reviews.
